Some
Information About Claims In General
- The most important thing is to
report the claims as soon as possible.
Never hesitate to call us at home if our office

close. Our

- Do what you can to limit the
loss. If there is a broken window, cover it with
plastic. Do the same with a hole in the roof.
Use common sense, as companies consider the cost of
temporary repairs to be part of the claim.
- Call us anytime during the claims
process. We are not always kept informed by the
company adjusters, so if something isn't going well, we
need you to call us.
Common Steps In An Auto Claim
- You report the claims to us, and we
pass the information to the insurance company.
Or if you report your claim directly to the company, the
next day we will usually receive a notice of the claim
from the company.
- The adjuster from the company will
contact you, usually within 48 hours of being reported, and
take a statement from you about what happened.
- The company will usually want to
inspect the vehicle. Either the adjuster will come
to see the car, or send an appraiser.
- You need to get 1 estimate from the
body shop of your choice. Keep a copy and ask the
body shop to fax or email a copy to us.
- The insurance company will come to
an agreement with the body shop regarding the cost of
the repairs. The adjuster will let you know when
it is OK to make the repairs.
- Car valuations in the event of a
total loss are sometimes difficult. Perhaps a few

will make arrangements to inspect the damage or have you
submit an estimate.

contractor you want to do the repairs. Keep a copy
and ask the contractor to fax or email a copy to us.
- The insurance company will come to
an agreement with the contractor regarding the cost of
the repairs. The adjuster will let you know when
it is OK to make the repairs.
Remember, things can go
